EXCURSION TO THE UROS FLOATING ISLAND + TAQUILE
Breakfast at the Hotel
Early in the morning, we take a two-hour motor boat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating "Islands" of the Uros. These ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe, have built their own "islands" by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called "Totora". Their homes and boats are also made from this material. We continue our motorboat trip to Taquile Island, inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed efficient and unique social systems, as well as fine hand weaving techniques, down through the generations. Upon arrival at the Town of Taquile we will have a lunch.

It is necessary to go up a stairway of more than 567 steps - streaks of stone that wind their way among greenery platforms - to arrive at the Town of Taquile where we will have a break to eat.

PUNO – SILLUSTANI - LIMA
Breakfast in the Hotel. Transfer to the airport of Puno to take its flight of return to the city of Lima. On the road we will do a stop to visit the incredible chullpas of Sillustani. Which are architectural constructions of worked volcanic stone, that declares a double artistic-cultural expression, at the same time that are tombs of the royalty Koala, which constitutes a sanctuary to the fertility. |
