The museum Gold of Perú
The ancient Peruvians worked metals in masterly. The procedure "cire perdue (lost wax), known in the East and disappeared in the West until the Renaissance, was the most used by these magnificent goldsmiths Peruvians. Our trip to the museum GOLD OF PERU reveals a dazzling collection of gold pieces of various pre-Columbian cultures, some with more than 3000 years old. Exhibited jewels and gold objects of incalculable value, worked in gold, silver and precious stones, ornaments and articles that in their time of splendor used the Incas, sons of the Sun God and monarchs of the vast Inca Empire. The fame of the gold of Peru attracted numerous adventurers Europeans 500 years ago and was due to the end of the empire of the Incas, giving rise to the Viceroyalty of Peru, the Spanish Crown. The Gold Museum of Peru, also exhibits a valuable collection of ancient and modern weapons which are considered one of the best of its kind worldwide. These rooms are shown armor, uniforms and objects of various times and places, including some dating from 1300 BC This sample is known as the World's Arms Museum.
The park of friendship
Our tour continues visiting the Park of Friendship, which introduced the impressive Moorish Arc, inaugurated by King of Spain Juan Carlos de Borbon, a scenic railway and its beautiful gardens and spaces that commemorate the friendship between the peoples of Peru and Spain.
